Description and Operation

Description and Operation are Service Information Types (SITs) containing articles that give an overall description of your selected system or component. The description may include Purpose, Design, Construction and Operation.

Articles within this SIT also include information on functional control strategy such as:

Descriptions on how a system or component should work.
Descriptions on the interactions between a system and its components.
Block diagrams and images used to illustrate systems and components.

To find Description and Operation SITs:

Select a system from the Vehicle Component list located on the Top-Vehicle page.

Result: A page listing the available Service Information Types (SITs) and components to your selected system is displayed. Available SITs are listed on the left. Subsystems and components are listed on the right.

From the left, click the Description and Operation icon.

Result: A page listing available Description and Operation topics will display.

Select a topic to view the article.

Note:Available information varies according to the selected vehicle.
