How to Use Service Information Types

Each Service Information Type category contains a list of articles. The articles instruct, explain or illustrate vehicle information that either:

Use the categories to help you determine the type of service information (i.e. service intervals, vehicle identification, parts, labor, etc.) you need. Research articles within the SIT categories to study:

Where are SITs and How do I find them?

  1. Navigate to the Top-Vehicle page.

Result: SITs (vehicle level) and Shortcuts to Popular Information display on the left, while the Vehicle Components list appears on the right.

  1. Select an SIT that best categorizes the type of general information you are looking for.

To view SITs that are specific to a particular system:

  1. Select the system from the Vehicle Components list.

Result: A page is displayed with information divided into two (2) areas: SITs (vehicle component level) are located on the left while the Vehicle Components list is located on the right.

Note: Based on the list you choose the list now displays subsystems and components that make up the selected system.

  1. Select an SIT that best categorizes the type of specific information you are looking for.

To view SITs that pertain to a particular subsystem or component:

  1. Select the subsystem or component from the Vehicle Components list.

  2. Select an SIT that best categorizes the type of specific information you are looking for.
