Because vehicles are built with differing systems, subsystems and components/parts, each vehicle you select may display different SIT categories. The SIT categories will display at either a Vehicle or Vehicle-Component level.

To find Service Information Types:

  1. Navigate to the Top-Vehicle page.

  2. Select an SIT that best categorizes the type of general vehicle information you are looking for.

Note: Information in the Top-Vehicle page appears in the two areas under separate headings. SITs (vehicle level) and Shortcuts to Popular Information appear on the left while the Vehicle Components list is on the right.

To view SITs that are specific to a particular system:

  1. From the Vehicle Components list, click on a category.

  2. Select an SITthat best categorizes the type of repair or service specification you are looking for.

What are Vehicle and Vehicle-Component Levels?

  • Vehicle level SITs have information that pertain to your entire vehicle. They are found on the Top-Vehicle page that immediately displays after selecting a vehicle.

  • Vehicle-Component level SITs have information that is specific to the systems, subsystem or component you are researching. These SITs will display after you select a system from the Vehicle Components list on the Top Vehicle page.

For information on using SITs see How to Use Service Information Types.
