Testing and Inspection

Testing and Inspection are Service Information Types (SITs) that include articles for diagnosing and verifying system and component operations for vehicles. Testing and Inspection articles are found on both the Vehicle and Vehicle-Component levels.

Vehicle level articles are general and applicable to most vehicles.
Vehicle-Component level articles are specific to the component/part you are researching.

How do I find a Testing and Inspection article at the vehicle level?

Navigate to the Top-Vehicle page.

Results: On the left, vehicle level SITs are displayed in a list. On the right, Vehicle Components systems are listed.

Click the Testing and Inspection icon located on the left.

Result: A page is displayed listing available Testing and Inspection topics.

Select a topic to view an article.

How do I find a Testing and Inspection article at the vehicle-component level?

From the Top-Vehicle page, select a system (i.e. Engine, Exhaust System, Cooling System, etc.)

Result: A page is displayed listing the available SITs, subsystems and components of your selected system. Available SITs are listed on the left. Subsystems and components are listed on the right.

Select a subsystem or component.

Result: A page is displayed listing available SITs and component/parts.

On the left, click the Testing and Inspection icon.

Result: A page is displayed listing the available Testing and Inspection topics.

Select a topic to view an article.

Note: Available information varies according to the selected vehicle.
