REMOVAL

  

  1. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle control lever and the accelerator cable bracket.
1 Disconnect the accelerator cable housing from the accelerator cable bracket.
2 Disconnect the accelerator cable end from the throttle control lever.
3 Position the accelerator cable aside.

  

  1. Remove the (A) bolts and lower the (B) accelerator pedal and shaft.

  

  1. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal and shaft.
1 Squeeze the cable end locking grommet tabs.
2 Disconnect the accelerator cable.
3 Remove the accelerator pedal and shaft.

  

  1. Remove the E-clip.

  

  1. Disassemble the accelerator pedal and shaft.
1 Remove the accelerator pedal and shaft.
2 Remove the accelerator shaft retainer and spring.

INSTALLATION

  

  1. Assemble the accelerator pedal and shaft.
1 Position the spring.
2 Align the spring on the accelerator shaft retainer.
3 Rotate the end of the spring.
4 Install the accelerator pedal and shaft.

  

  1. Install the E-clip.
  2. Install the accelerator cable end to the accelerator pedal and shaft.

  

  1. Raise the accelerator pedal and shaft and install the bolts.
  2. Route the accelerator cable and install the accelerator cable end to the throttle control lever and the cable housing to the accelerator cable bracket.
  3. Adjust the accelerator cable; refer to Cable Adjustment. See: Adjustments
