  OTC - Stall Test  
 

Operational Test OTC - Stall Test

  1. With Pressure Gauge connected, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Shift the gearshift lever to the R position.
  3. Read and record the line pressure at idle.
  4. CAUTION: The following step must be completed within 5 seconds, followed by cooling the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) . The ATF can be cooled by placing the automatic transmission in neutral (N) for one minute while the engine is at idle. Otherwise damages to the automatic transmission may occur.

Press the accelerator to the floor (WOT) .

  1. Read and record the engine rpm.
  2. Release the accelerator pedal.
  3. CAUTION: Cool the ATF between each gear position being tested.

Repeat Operational Test OTC - Stall Test for the following gearshift lever positions: overdrive, D, and L.

  1. Compare the test results with the Stall Test Evaluation Chart. Stall Test specification should be between 2400-2700 rpm.
