Inspection and Verification
Check the operation of the parking brake with the vehicle on a hoist and the parking brake control fully released. If there is any slack in the parking brake rear cable and conduits or if the rear brakes drag excessively when the rear wheels are turned, adjustment is required. Check for any parking brake rear cable and conduit damage and replace if damaged. Check the parking brake by pulling up on the parking brake control. The parking brake should fully set within five to seven notches. If not, adjust the parking brake rear cable and conduit.
