Sensor - Front Anti-Lock Brake

Removal

  

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  

  1. NOTE: For right hand side access, remove the windshield washer pump and reservoir.

Disconnect the front anti-lock brake sensor electrical connector.

1 Peel back the foam insulation.
2 Disconnect the front anti-lock brake sensor electrical connector.

  

  1. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
1 Remove the four lug nuts.
2 Remove the wheel and tire assembly.

  

  1. Remove the upper sensor cable bracket.
1 Remove the bolt.
2 Remove the bracket and cable assembly.
  1. Remove the grommet and pull the sensor cable through the opening.

  

  1. Remove the front anti-lock brake sensor.
1 Remove the anti-lock cable clamp bolt.
2 Remove the anti-lock cable clamp.
3 Remove the two bolts.
4 Remove the front anti-lock brake sensor.

Installation

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn its strategy.

  
  
  

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
