BOTH SIDE HEADLAMPS (LO) ARE NOT TURNED ON
Description
The headlamps (both sides) do not turn ON in any lighting switch setting.
BOTH SIDE HEADLAMPS (LO) ARE NOT TURNED ON
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK COMBINATION SWITCH
Check the combination switch. Refer to See: Body and Frame\Body Control Systems\Description and Operation\Combination Switch Reading System\System Description.
Is the combination switch normal?
YES >> GO TO 2
NO >> Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
2.CHECK HEADLAMP (LO) REQUEST SIGNAL INPUT
CONSULT-III DATA MONITOR
- Select "HL LO REQ" of IPDM E/R DATA MONITOR item.
- With operating the lighting switch, check the monitor status.
Is the item status normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Replace BCM. Refer to See: Body and Frame\Body Control Systems\Body Control Module\Service and Repair .
3.HEADLAMP (LO) CIRCUIT Inspection
Check the headlamp (LO) circuit. For Halogen headlamps, refer to See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics\Headlamp (LO) Circuit\Headlamp (Halogen)\Diagnosis Procedure. For Xenon headlamps, refer to See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics\Headlamp (LO) Circuit\Headlamp (Xenon)\Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the headlamp (LO) circuit normal?
YES >> Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to See: Power and Ground Distribution\Power Distribution Module\Service and Repair .
NO >> Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
