Jim Grant's Tech Tips
'90 Toyota Celica GTS, No parking Lights
Q:
I
recently purchased a '90 Toyota Celica GTS. The parking lights, front
& back do not work. It also has the sports kit which has lights and
they do not work either. The inside panel lights also do not work.I have
checked all fuses. Could this be a relay problem or should I get it serviced?

A:
On
the left hand side of your instrument panel there is a kick panel. Behind
that panel you'll find a tail light control relay. This relay controls
the supply of electrical power to just about every light that you've mentioned.
From your description this relay is the likely cause for your problems.
