‘00 Dodge Neon, Fuel Shut Off Switch
Q:
Hi, I have a 2000 Dodge Neon. My car was run off the road with no damage. I'm told that the automatic fuel shut off was the reason my car wont start but no one can find the switch. Do you think you can help me with this?

A:
You'll be looking long and hard for something that doesn't exist. Ford is the company that makes use of a switch that can turn off the fuel system in the event of an unplanned off road trip. If the engine is starting and then stalling like there is no fuel, then it is possible that the factory installed anti-theft system is activated. If this is the case there will be a warning light flashing to alert you that the theft system is activated. Other than that if you have a no start condition after an off road event it is likely something got bumped or damaged that you're not aware of. You may need to get a tech involved in diagnosing your no start condition.
