Pontiac Grand Prix, Hesitation Problems
Q: My '92 Pontiac Grand Prix hesitates when
I accelerate at almost any speed. Do you think it could be the fuel filter?
It was replaced at 50,000 miles. The vehicle now has about 120,000. If
so where is filter?
A: I
can't honestly say if the fuel filter is your problem or not. With nearly
70,000 miles since the last time the gas filter was changed, you wouldn't
be wasting money replacing it. As for the location of the gas filter,
you will find it under the car by the rear suspension. When was the last
time any other maintenance items like the ignition system serviced? If
these components have as many miles as the gas filter, some basic maintenance
would surely make your car run better.
