  Caliper Removal and Installation  
 

Removal

WARNING: BRAKE FLUID CONTAINS POLYGLYCOL ETHERS AND POLYGLYCOLS. AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES. WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY AFTER HANDLING. IF BRAKE FLUID CONTACTS EYES, FLUSH EYES WITH RUNNING WATER FOR 15 MINUTES. GET MEDICAL ATTENTION IF IRRITATION PERSISTS. IF TAKEN INTERNALLY, DRINK WATER AND INDUCE VOMITING. GET MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.

CAUTION: Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash it with water.

  1. Remove the rear disc brake pads.

  

  1. Remove the parking brake bracket bolt and place the bracket and cable aside.

  

  1. Remove the banjo bolt and disconnect the brake hose.

  

  1. Discard the copper washers and plug the brake hose.

  

  1. Slide the rear disc brake caliper off the rear disc support bracket.

Installation

  
  

  1. NOTE: The copper washers must be replaced when installing caliper.

NOTE: Bleed the brake system.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
