REAR DISC BRAKE

BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY : Assembly

ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Use NISSAN Rubber Grease during assembly.

  

  1. Apply rubber grease to new piston seal, and install them on caliper.

CAUTION:
Do not reuse piston seal.

  

  1. Apply rubber grease to new piston boot. Cover the piston end with the new piston boot, and then install cylinder side lip on the new piston boot securely into the groove on caliper.

CAUTION:
Do not reuse piston boot.

  

  1. Push piston into caliper by hand and push piston boot piston side lip into the piston groove.

CAUTION:
Press the piston evenly and vary the pressing point to prevent cylinder inner wall from being rubbed.

  

  1. Secure piston boot with new retaining ring.

CAUTION:

  • Make sure that boot is securely engaged in the groove on caliper.
  • Do not reuse retainer ring.
